Mustangs Finish 27th At NAIA Men's Golf Championships PDF Print E-mail

(Sioux City, IA) Morningside shot a 325 in Thursday’s third round of the 2010 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., to finish the tournament with a three-round total of 959.

The Mustangs carded scores of 312 on Tuesday and 322 on Wednesday. The Mustangs finished the tournament in 27th place. The tournament field was cut after 54 holes to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals (including ties) for Friday’s final round. Dave Young had the Mustangs top score on Thursday with a 79 and led the team at the tournament with a three-round total of 229 for 41st place in the individual standings. Young had a 72 on Tuesday and a 78 on Wednesday. Tuesday’s 72 was Young’s top score this spring. Cam Jacobs was the Mustangs’ second best finisher with rounds of 75, 74, and 83 for a 232.
