(Sioux City, IA) Bishop Heelan's Sadelle Schultz has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Briar Cliff University, next fall. Schultz has been a member of the varsity soccer team at Bishop Heelan Catholic High School, in Sioux City, since her freshman year. The three-year starter has helped the Crusaders to make three-straight state tournament appearances.

The Crusaders are currently 8-2 on the season and are ranked fourth in the 1A state ratings. Schultz, a 5-6 midfielder, has 28 career goals. Schultz played club soccer for the Gateway City Soccer Club.

"Sadelle has been a part of successful teams at both the club and high school levels," said Briar Cliff head soccer coach Pat Herbst. "She fills huge need for us having lost three outside midfielders to graduation and we are excited to have her join our program."

The daughter of Scott Schultz and Jenny Schultz is a member of the honor roll at Heelan and plans to major in elementary education at Briar Cliff.
