Minnesota All-Stater to Join Defender Men's Soccer PDF Print E-mail

(Sioux Center, IA) Benjamin Ness, a senior at Meadow Creek Christian School in Minnesota, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men's soccer program.

Ness is 6'2", 185 pounds and has played both sweeper and central midfielder at Meadow Creek. Ness was instrumental in leading his team to three straight conference champions in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Ness tallied 15 goals and tacked on 5 assists during the 2009 campaign. Ness received all-conference recognition in 2008. In 2009, while serving as the team captain, Ness was named all-conference, was the conference player of the year, was named to the Minnesota all-state team and was the team MVP.

Ben has also received recognition for his performance in basketball and track at Meadow Creek, serving as the team captain for both during his senior year. He was the most valuable defensive player in basketball the last two seasons and was part of a the class A championship 4X400 meter relay team in 2009.

Ben is the son of Eric and Julie Ness of Ramsey, Minnesota and he plans to major in Engineering.
