A Day in the Life of...Kate Du Mez PDF Print E-mail

Kate Du Mez is currently a senior at Dordt College in Sioux Center and in her time at Dordt has excelled on not only the soccer field where she is one okate du mez.jpgf the top players in the Great Plains Athletic Conference but also the basketball court. Managing one sport is a full time task for most college students, but for Du Mez she has handled two with relative ease. Now we’ll find out how. Here is A Day in the Life of Kate Du Mez…

6:30 am Morning Soccer run (two days a week and only in the fall)

7:30 am Breakfast kate du mez .jpg

9:00 am Soil Mechanics Class

10:00 am Solar Energy Engineering Class

11:00 am Lunch 12:00 pm Interpersonal Communication Class

1:00 pm Control Systems Class

2:00 pm Senior Design Class

4:00 pm Soccer Practice

5:30 pm Catch the end of basketball practice (Kate did not participate in both practices following her freshman year. She would generally sit in and listen to coaching instruction but would not practice with the basketball team until after soccer was over.)

6:30 pm Dinner

8:00 pm Study Group with other Senior Design Group

10:00 pm Return home to study a little more

11:00 pm Grade Math papers as part of my work study job for the Math Department

1:00 am Go to bed
