- As South Sioux City basketball player McKayla
Knudson warms up for the high jump competition, it’s easy to see what has
made the Lady Cardinal girls’ basketball program so successful over the
years.
The basketball court seems so far away at
this point for the South Sioux City girls’
basketball team. Winter has departed,
and with the spring season comes track and field, and that is the sport of
choice on this day for some South Sioux City
high school female athletes. It’s also
evident from the way Knudson competes in the high jump that basketball is never
far from any of these girls’ minds.
