As Quarterback of the South Sioux City Cardinal football team he is the focal point of their offensive attack, and after an All-District season a year ago he has taken firm grasp of the reigns and leading this squad to new heights.

But when that is the case, the number one priority would a strong personality at the helm. Someone with passion for the sport as well as experience, and most importantly patience. (South Sioux City, NE) - As South Sioux City basketball player McKayla Knudson warms up for the high jump competition, it’s easy to see what has made the Lady Cardinal girls’ basketball program so successful over the years. 

     The basketball court seems so far away at this point for the South Sioux City girls’ basketball team.  Winter has departed, and with the spring season comes track and field, and that is the sport of choice on this day for some South Sioux City high school female athletes.  It’s also evident from the way Knudson competes in the high jump that basketball is never far from any of these girls’ minds. 

(South Sioux City, NE) - The scene at South Sioux City’s high school baseball practice seems like any other baseball practice.  Excitement for a new season is in the air as players hit and play catch.  Something’s different here, though.
