Beavers Win First Ever IIAC Baseball Tournament PDF Print E-mail

(Storm Lake, IA) Buena Vista scored five times in the seventh and added four more key insurance runs in the eighth to help knock off second-seed Wartburg College, 9-4, on Sunday afternoon and win the 2010 Iowa Conference Baseball Tournament. The win also gives BVU the league's automatic berth into this year's NCAA Regional Baseball Championships, its first trip since 1981.

Beavers Take Third at IIAC Championships PDF Print E-mail

(Storm Lake, IA) Andy Soper's (Estherville, Iowa/ELC) final round 76 turned out to be good enough, as he finished the 2010 Iowa Conference Men's Golf Championships at 298 and winning the medalist race by three strokes. As a team, the Beavers posted the lowest team round of the day (308), while ending the Championships in third place.

Baseball Secures Outright IIAC Title wtith 17-3 Win PDF Print E-mail

(Storm Lake, IA) The Buena Vista baseball team left no doubt that it was going to win the outright Iowa Conference regular season baseball title on Friday night, as it pounded out 19 hits, including seven for extra bases, en route to a 17-3 victory over Cornell College (4-28, 2-20 IIAC) in seven innings.
